John F. Cashman II, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, May 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born Feb. 5, 1950, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to John and Helen (Lambert) Cashman. He attended Waynesboro Lutheran Church and graduated in 1968 from Waynesboro High School. He retired after many years as manager for Dow Chemical. John loved being on the golf course but his greatest love was spending time with his family especially his wife, son, and grandchildren. He was a member of Westwood Hills Country Club and Elks Lodge 2452, both in Poplar Bluff.
John is survived by his loving wife Connie of the home; his son, Daniel (Michelle) Cashman of Louisiana; four grandchildren, Maggie Cashman and Jaxon Cashman of Louisiana, Devon Cashman of Kentucky, and Alex Cashman of Missouri; a sister, Judy Snurr of Maryland; a sister-in-law Pauline Cashman of Illinois; a nephew Charles Cashman of California; a niece, Bethany Cashman of Hawaii; two nephews, Gordy (Genn) Snurr of Kentucky and J. D. Snurr of Maryland; and an ex-daughter-in-law, Chris Cashman of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dean Cashman, and Alan Cashman.
A public visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm Friday at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel, 1100 Iron Bridge in Poplar Bluff. A private family service will follow. No burial is planned at this time.
